Speaker Profile: Dr. Iris Wang is a medical doctor. She has been worked in China and  Japan
               hospitals; she did a lot of research in UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco.
Abstract: Why do we have to get aging? A question has been asked for thousands of years since
human appeared. From ancient time to modern society, human has never given up the dream of
finding the secret of life. Various attempts, including the alchemy for finding panaceas or ever
-young drugs to the recent human cloning, have been tried. Unfortunately, it seems we are still
far away from our target------to get the key to enter the room where the life secret has been
hidden. Nevertheless, we are glad to see that, with the advance of life science and
biotechnology; human life span has been significantly extended from 40-50 years to 70-80 years
from 1950 of last century. Scientists are optimistically expecting human life to be increased to
120 years or more in the coming future with the development oflife science and biotechnology.
